Making Fun with the Utica Children’s Museum!

The Mohawk Mini Maker Faire has interactive activities for all ages..

The Utica Children’s Museum’s mission is to offer an environment that supports every child’s natural curiosity to learn through hands-on, play-based exploration.

The Utica Children’s Museum, in partnership with Young Einsteins, a Reggio-inspired foundation school for young children, will be at the Mohawk Valley Mini Maker Faire this Saturday, April 16th from 12:00 – 4:00PM.

Participate in 4 interactive, hands on stations:

  • Weave with Ribbons – this station will have two Looms; materials to weave through loom will be ribbon of various colors.
  • Design robots with magnetic materials – this station allows children to explore and design robots using magnetic materials.
  • Draw in the Sand: this station enables children to play in the sand using wooden or bamboo trays, play sand, paint brushes, and marbles.
  • Cardboard boxes – this station allows children to make anything from a collection of household item boxes, duct tape and markers.
