One of the most important ideals of the maker movement is democratizing access to knowledge and know-how.  This is why one of our goals is to increase access to the Mohawk Valley Mini Maker Faire.  One way we do this is by making our event free to attend.  Another way is by providing grants to makers who might otherwise be discouraged from participating due to the cost of exhibiting.

Since our funding is limited, we prioritize supporting students (K-12 through college from any institution), makers from underserved communities, community groups, and makers with interactive activities.  So if you are want to exhibit but are concerned about the expense of doing so, we encourage you to apply and to apply for a maker grant.  For more information, see our FAQ.  Deadline for priority consideration is April 1 — apply here.
